Answer 1 :
Accountants are a vital part of any business. Many large companies have a head of Finance, and within the Finance dept they will have accountants.....there are specialist accountants who deal with major companies, and Accountants who are self employed and do the accounts for various companies. So it is not easy to answer your question. If just starting out then I expect you would be in an office environment. As with most things, they are all computerised these days, but you would need to know about book keeping in normal ledgers. Days off vary from Company to Company.... You really need to have a love of figures and problem solving...in an Office environment.
Answer 2 :
What makes you think accountants work?
Answer 3 :
Almost every business must have an accountant in one form or another. They also work for themselves, specialising in tax, corporate finance, and so on. A good profession to be in as they a a vital part of the working economy. Have a happy Christmas.
Answer 4 :
An accountant has to have a specialised knowledge of law and financial matters, wherever they work, whether employed or self-employed. Accountants work in offices, and would use a computer for reference and calculations. This would only be part of the job. Accountants need a lot of knowledge to find their way around the required websites and reference books. You would have to pass a lot of exams to become certified to one of the professional bodies. You would need that to get a good job or attract clients. If you were employed, holidays would depend on your employer. If self-employed, as much as you like, but you wouldn't get paid, and if clients couldn't get hold of you, they may go elsewhere. Hours worked? That would depend on your employment status. If you were employed, on your employer and employment contract. If self-employed, as many hours as you are prepared to put in, remembering that you only get paid for the effort you make. If you Google Accountant, there many sites giving information. The Wikipedia one is very good.

Answer 1 :
You should apply for an accounting job. Forget the internship. Demand for accountants is very high. If you want to make a lot of money, you might try to get hired by an Investment Bank or Brokerage that needs accounting skills. Then you can move on to a job managing client money and make in the 300k to 500k range. And that is a very fun job. Or you can go into corporate accounting and then climb the corporate ladder toward a CFO job. Also very rewarding career and serious money.
