How to set up an accountancy practice in UK?what is the process & formalities involved in the set up?
I' m business consultant and have been working in London over 6 years, my partner recently completed her ACCA and she wants to team with a senior accountant and set up a practice. Please advice this is not my area of expertise.

Well...... Its all very good and well her passing her final exams but she now needs to obtain her practising certificate from the ACCA which is another exam all over again ! Oh and she needs to possess the relevent number of years of works experience....... Good luck....... David

I think the fact you are asking this question here just shows that you really dont have the experience to set up in practise yet. I wouldnt want an accountant advising me in my business if they didnt know the answer to this question themsleves. Give it a go a few years down the line. And congratulations on passing the exams!
