At what age do you think you become a grown up?
I think its when you have kids or buy a mortgage. Or something like that. You know, when you make a big commitment to something other than yourself. I'm 24 and studying to be an accountant and i still see other people as grown ups lol. Even though I moved out of my parents house over 2 years ago!

Well whenever you start to mature, like getting into adult buisness. Not have kids but buy a morgage i guess so

It also can be when you have been through a tramadic evant and have a greater respect for life. I am 26 married and have a house and I am still growing up!

In my experience of life, I have seen that a 10 years old child can be more mature than a 50 years old adult.

Some people never grow up, it took me until i was about 30, lol. Lads in our school had jobs and a very mature attitude when they were 17 so it depends on the person. I think responsibilty has a lot to do with it. If you have a child (like me) that certainly makes you view things differently. But a mortgage or some kind of responsible job will help. Also, there will always be people who seem grown up no matter how old you are.

I'm 32 and I don't see grown-ups - only people playing in suits acting serious. People tend to confuse being serious with being grown-up. By the way, I'm probably just a big kid. I have matured by way of responsibility, but still try to maintain an outlook of life that it is a joyride from start to finish no matter the bumps in the way.

i don't think it is an age as much as it is a level of maturity because i see people older than me that are immature in an area that they should have grown out of a long time ago, though they are adults

I grew up at 14 and a half. My father died and I left school to start work. I had no choice in the matter. It all depends on circumstances, some people have to grow up very quickly, like me. Others are pampered and do not feel the need to mature. I still think of myself as a youngster even though I am over 60. Keep looking at other people as OLD, it helps to keep YOU young.

I think it's retrospective. One day you will suddenly realise that you are an adult and you will start to cast your mind back to find the moment when it happened.
