What does doing the accounts for a firm exactly mean?
If somebody has got for example a small company like selling yoga clothing and they are looking for a bookkeeper/accountant what exactly will the expect them do to? What is the procedure of doing the accounts?

The person with the small company would need to keep receipts of expenditures and also keep track of sales and pass all this information on to the bookkeeper. The bookkeeper / accountant will then have to process this information and calculate the profit and loss balance. They will also present these results to the tax office to register the books and also calculate what tax you have to pay or receive and also claim this or instruct you to pay it.
